Using a Mixed/Split Platform (Operating System) Architecture
We have observed that the Oracle database server is sometimes available on operating systems where Oracle E-Business Suite is not currently certified. In this case, we can use Mixed/split OS architecture, where the database is installed on one OS and the application tier on another.
As we know EBS is made up of three-tier architecture, whereas tier is a logical grouping of services that may be distributed across one or more physical machines.
