Today we are going to add a new page in the HCM Cloud application through Page Integration Wizard, let’s review the complete process. This functionality can be used to add any other page like newly developed functionality on PaaS or to display any web page or any other info from OTBI etc. If we will add through Page Integration Wizard, it will open within the Fusion Application and through Structure, it will open in a NEW browser. This is the main difference

the first step is to go to Page Integration Wizard from Navigator:2-Open Page Integration and click on New Page, here you can see a number of already created pages.

3-here we have got Name, Icon, Application role (this is the role to which we want to provide access) and web page (our newly developed functionality on PaaS or any other webpage)

In this example, we have taken up to display webpage.

4-Now we can our entry of new page is showing:

5-After this we will got to ‘Structure’ from ‘Navigator’.

it is showing under Sales Performance Aux, this we can move by clicking on > this icon and we can move to top category.

Now, let’s go to Home and check our newly added PaaS application icon is showing:

our added page, Oracle.com is showing below and similarly here we can access any new functionality developed in PaaS (JCS-SX)

this is the simple process to add additional functionality into springboard/into Cloud Application.

2nd Method: if you want to add any link to the web page, we can do through another way, it will just add the link into the springboard, and the web page will open in a new window/screen.

let’s check that.

Go to Navigator> Structure

click on Create page Entry:

Here we have selected Link Type as Static URL, there are other 2 options, Dynamic URL, Application Page

Now on this icon, if you will click, it will open in a new window.

Static URL: we can link a page entry to an external web site or application that has a constant host, port, or context root.

Dynamic URL: We can link a page entry to an external web site or application that has a frequently changing host, port, or context root. Instead of updating the link to each application, you can update the details of the web application in the topology registration. This change affects all page entries that contain dynamic links pointing to that web application.

Application Page: this we are not using for SaaS-based applications as we are adding a new page through Page Integration Wizard.

This is the easiest method to add new apps/PaaS developed Apps into Springboard and enjoy the same look and feel of Cloud Application. We should use Oracle released Rapid Development Kit to build PaaS extension as it will give us the same look and feel of Cloud Application.
